French carmakers still focus their business plan on the design aspect of things and Peugeot is currently combining new models with facelifts to create a more uniform range.
The first Peugeot to adopt this new design language was the 508. But things really took off when the 208 came out and started selling like hotcakes. Smaller, usually floating grilles and feline headlights are the major design traits.
In Frankfurt this year, the lion not only came out with the new 308 compact hatch, but changed the appearance of the 5008 as well.
The 5008 Facelift has the new grille and headlights that we just mention, but comes with a host of other changes as well. The headlights and fog light surrounds identical to the ones on the 308.
The engine range for the 5008 is going to a case of same-old, same-old, but they have added start/stop on every model. There's also a new-ish e-HDi model with an automated manual that claims to achieve 4.2 l/100km (67 mpg UK).
