Former Celebrity Cars for Sale at Bonhams

Perhaps one of the most comprehensive collection of cars which once belonged to celebrities will go under the hammer on December 6th, during the Important Motor Cars and Fine Automobilia auction to be held at Brooklands by Bonhams. The cars to be sold in the beginning of December once belonged to stars like Elvis Presley or to famous restorers like Bill McGrath.

The most exclusive cars to be sold at the auction though remains the Rolls-Royce Phantom III which was seen in the Pan's Labyrinth movie. It is the first vehicle of its kind to have been sold in the US, out of a total of only 24.

The Rolls will be accompanied by a 1934 Lagonda M45 Tourer, once owned by Pink Floyd drummer and at the same time collector Nick Mason, a Mercedes-Benz 600 which was at one point in the possession of Elvis Presley and a 1964 Maserati 3500GTI Coupe.

The Maserati belonged to Maserati specialist Bill McGrath and is the car which marked the debut of McGrath's career in the field of Maserati restoration.

Besides these highlights, the Important Motor Cars and Fine Automobilia auction will also see some other exquisite cars go under the hammer. They include a 2000 Ferrari 550 GTZ, a 1964 AC Cobra , a 1955 Mercedes 300 Gullwing, a 1937 SS100 Jaguar 2 ½ Litre Roadster and a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 MK1 Volante Convertible.

The prices for the cars which will go on sale this December are estimated by the organizers to be in between GBS60,000 for the Rolls-Royce Phantom III and GBP400,000 for the 1955 Mercedes 300 Gullwing.
