Ford is planning to launch 25 new or redesigned models in Europe within the next five years, Ford of Europe president Stephen Odell has revealed earlier this week.
Odell added that the 25 upcoming models will be completely new automobiles or new generations of certain vehicles, but will not be variants of existing cars, Automotive News reports.
"It's the same exact strategy as in North America: to make sure that our portfolio was the best ever when the economy turned around," said Barb Samardzich, the company’s new chief operating officer at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
There’s no word on what models will arrive in Europe, but we do know that next-generation Mustang, S-Max and Edge are on their way.
In other related news, the Blue Oval expects to lose $2 billion (€1.48 billion) on its European operations this year, which will add to the $1.75 billion (€1.29 billion) lost in 2012.
