Hello dear fast-Ford fans, and welcome to the fantastic new Focus ST. Official pricing for the hothatch has been confirmed to be AUD38,290 in Australia. The five-door will go on sale in October, but we do thing this price is a bit high.
You see, this is considerably more than the equivalent price in the US. Any American can expect to pay from USD24,495 for this 252 horsepower car. That’s about AUD23,200 at today’s exchange rate, which is considerably less than what they’re asking.
Still, on the bright side, it’s cheaper than all its rivals, the Golf GTI, Mazda3 MPS and Megane RS in Australia.
The Focus ST is offered exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, and instead of a mechanical diff, it’s got a Torque Steer Compensation (TSC) system hat reduces torque steer significantly.
