The Ford Focus Electric is one of the nicer EVs out there, mostly because of its striking similarity to the standard Focus. There are no huge badges shouting out its eco credentials - it just goes about its business with no fuss, no weird name or awkward design.
According to Automotive News, California, New Jersey and New York dealerships (67 in total) are expecting delivery of six cars each, so around 400 examples in total. The dealerships will sell 5 of them and keep one car as a demonstration vehicle. Ford are not expecting the Focus Electric to be a huge sales hit, expecting around 5,000 cars sold per year, they are expecting green cars to comprise 25% of its sales by 2020.
We hope we get more details and information on the Ford Focus Electric as we think it’s currently the EV with the fewest compromises on the market.
