After laying the ground for EcoSport's debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Ford has also announced the introduction of the new Tourneo Courier model during the Swiss Event.
Based on the automaker's Global B platform, the Tourneo Courier range is actually a family-friendly-designed Transit Connect line of vans, or "people-movers" as Ford likes calling them. "Ford will showcase its full new family of Tourneo people-movers, with the global debut of the all-new Tourneo Courier, and display the all-new EcoSport compact SUV for Europe", stated Ford in a press release.

There's no word on what engines will be available for the Tourneo Courier, but we should get them with 2.0-liter Duratec inline 4 and 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi power plants under the bonnet. By the way, the Tourneo Custom gained a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, so we're expecting the same results from the Courier version as well.

The unveiling will take place on March 5, along with the all-new Ford EcoSport.
