As of this weekend, Volkswagen’s new Polo model is available in German partner dealerships across the country, this being the very first one delivered to a customer.
The delivery took place yesterday at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg. Hermann Siefke from Brackstedt bought his new car together with wife and opted for a Deep Black pearl color and a 1.2-liter TSI turbo with 90 PS and BlueMotion fuel saving tech.

It’s not exactly a model of youthfulness and effervescence, like they sometimes make it sound, but it looks like a well specked supermini. Still, it’s so black and… German – it’s a shame, really, since the 2014 Polo comes in effervescent new colors like “Sunflower Blue”. In addition, Siefke opted for the air conditioning "Climatronic " alloy wheels and a sporty multifunction steering wheel.

"The new Polo has not only visually changed , it has also advanced technologies to make driving even safer," said Francesco Forte , Head of Sales at company’s employees and customer management.

The new car is actually a facelift of a model launched 5 years ago. It will be on display at all major Volkswagen dealerships throughout the weekend. Prices start at €12,450 for a reasonably equipped base car, but can go as high as €16,850 for a TDI BlueMotion, even before you add any options.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
