The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has finally crossed the Pond to Europe! Scheduled to go on sale this fall, the new US-developed sportscar set wheels on European soil for a final round of testing before going into production.
According to Chevrolet Europe, the first ever 2014 Corvette Stingray to be driven on the Old Continent will be put to good use by technical manager Patrick Herrmann over the next couple of months. “The testing procedures are part of the GM standard quality control program which is conducted for each new Chevrolet model before it goes on sale in Europe,” says Chevrolet Europe, adding that Herrmann will document his experience on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray will go on sale in Europe with GM’s new 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine under the hood. Just like the US-spec version, the European Vette will deliver 460 HP (343 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque. UK will the sportscar with the Z51 performance pack as standard with prices set at £61,495.
