If there’s one game car guys are waiting for enthusiastically at the moment, that would be the reboot of the famous Need for Speed franchise. The 2015 game will be released at the beginning of November and Electronic Arts is definitely trying to get us as interested as possible.
To do that, they are letting us know what cars will be featured in the video game but with a twist. They are releasing the list in partial batches, teasing us all the way to the release. The good part is that the first 17 cars were just announced and we’re glad to see older models alongside brand new ones as well.

The mix of old and new is downright impressive and we have to tip our hat to the developer. The 17 cars confirmed so far are:

  • BMW M3 E30
  • BMW M3 E46
  • BMW M4
  • Ford Mustang GT
  • Ford Mustang 1965
  • Honda S2000
  • Lamborghini Huracan
  • Lamborghini Diablo SV
  • Mazda RX7 Spirit R
  • Mitsubishi Evo MR
  • Nissan 180SX Type-X
  • Nissan Silvia Spec-R
  • Nissan Skyline GT-R 1971
  • Porsche 911 GT3 RS
  • Porsche 911 Carrera RSR
  • Subaru BRZ Premium
  • Toyota Supra SZ-R

Being announced on the game’s own Twitter account, you can rest assured that these rides will definitely be part of the game, no rumor talk included here.

It’s interesting to note that there’s the E30 M3 included here alongside other legendary rides such as the 1965 Mustang, the Lamborghini Diablo, and the iconic 1971 GT-R. Things are looking good for petrolheads for a change.

With the title being a cross-platform offering, being launched on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, there are millions of potential players out there and they will be glad to know that EA has worked hard at revamping and improving Autolog, the online feature that allows you to play with people around the world for the title of the best virtual driver around.

Considering how bad it was in the last Need for Speed title, here’s hoping EA actually delivers on its promises this time.
