China and U.S. Partner Up to Make NFS Movie Sequel: Second Chance? Yes, Please

You know how we were telling you folks people in China are quite crazy about cars that transform into giant alien robots, saving the planet? Well, it turns out it’s not just that they truly love about cars, but hardcore racing too. The Need for Speed movie might not have been that successful in the US of A, but in China it's breaking all the stats.

The popular three top production and finance companies in the communist country have announced plans to make a sequel.

Thank you, God for the entertainment business! It's the one of the several billion-dollar industries where superpowers work together. And they don’t collaborate to design newer weapons that might some day lead to our extinction. No, they are spending money for our amusement. How cool is that, right?

Unfortunately, it’s not always with a better result. I mean honestly, after we left the theater the other day with tears in our eyes (yes, we saw Furious 7) Need for Speed rather seems like a Sunday film than a blockbuster.

Joint venture partners China Movie Channell Program Center, Jiaflix Enterprises, and 1905 Pictures are apparently teaming with Electronic Arts, the publisher of the Need for Speed video game series.

No director or cast have been assigned so far, but according to The Wrap, the creative team for the film will be announced in the coming weeks, with production anticipated to begin later this year.

Question is, do you feel the NFS 2?
