FIM Changes the MotoGP 2010 Calendar

Just one week ago we were announcing official dates of the 2010 MotoGP championship, as released by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM). Well, before you get all excited about it, let us tell you that it's not much of a change. In fact, though you might be disappointed, there is only one: the Czech GP at Brno will now be held on August 15th. The move, aimed at avoiding clashes with other motorsport events, means there will now be two weeks between the Brno race and the Indianapolis Grand Prix. The rest is old news, so there is no need for us to recap. The Silverstone circuit returns in the MotoGP calendar, after almost 30 years of absence, and riders will finally get to travel to Hungary for the race at Balatonring, though it was initially scheduled for debut in the 2009 season. Therefore, the latest version of the calendar, at least as it is for the moment, is detailed below: 04/11 Qatar (Doha/Losail) 04/25 Japan (Motegi) 05/02 Spain (Jerez de la Frontera) 05/23 France (Le Mans) 06/06 Italy (Mugello) 06/20 Great Britain (Silverstone) 06/26 Netherlands (Assen) 07/04 Catalunya (Catalunya) 07/18 Germany (Sachsenring) 07/25 United States (Laguna Seca) 08/15 Czech Republic (Brno)
08/29 Indianapolis (Indianapolis)
09/05 San Marino (Misano)
09/19 Hungary (Balatonring)
10/10 Malaysia (Sepang)
10/17 Australia (Phillip Island)
10/31 Portugal (Estoril)
11/07 Valencia (Ricardo Tormo - Valencia)
