While the Fiat Viaggio has already been revealed in China, at the Beijing Motor Show, customers there still have to wait for it to arrive at dealerships. Although they haven’t yet released pricing or the car, Fiat’s Chinese partners has announced over the weekend that the showroom launch will take place on September 10th.
In China, the Viaggio will go on sale with a range of turbo engines including a 120 hp 1.4 liter T-Jet and a more powerful 150 hp T-Jet.
The car is the nearly identical twin of the American-built Dodge Dart sedan, which in turn is based on an Alfa Romeo platform.
The Viaggio is also expected to arrive in the European market, as prototypes have been spotted testing on a number of occasions. However, it’s not yet clear when this launch will take place.
But much more is expected of the car in China, where it’s supposed to open consumers’ eyes to the Fiat brand.
