The Fiat Toro is one of those things we love even though we can't buy it. It's got a special look, and it just got some cool updates during the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show.
Because the Toro is based on the Jeep Renegade's platform, it can easily accommodate other engines from within the alliance. For Brazil, they chose a 2.4-liter MultiAir that will be made locally next year.

The four-cylinder unit has some old-school power, 184 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. That's when it's running on ethanol, of course, a popular fuel in South America.

Even if it's bigger than the 1.8-liter, Fiat says you shouldn't worry. They've fitted the 2.4L MultiAir with Start & Stop to save up to 20% on fuel. They must have some insane traffic over there, otherwise, the number is inflated.

And if you're not all about saving money, you'll be glad to know there's a sports mode. Everything is bundled up into the Toro Freedom Flex, which sounds so cool they should sell it to Americans instead of that horrible 500L.

The bigger engine is joined by a tire pressure monitor, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 16-inch alloy wheels, all of which are nice touches for this market.

Your other two engines are a 140hp 1.8-liter flex-fuel or a 170hp 2.0-liter Multijet diesel. As you might have noticed, this particular Toro kind of looks like the Jeep Renegade Batman v Superman edition.

That's because Fiat also presented the Toro Black Jack at the Sao Paulo event. It has nothing to do with the card game, but it's about as deadly as the infamous weapon used by thieves.

Besides all the goodies mentioned above, you get LED daytime running lights, tinted 17-inch wheels, black accents throughout the interior, leather seats with the Black Jack logo and stealthy exterior finish.
