This year’s Geneva Auto Show will be the place where the guys from Fiat will debut the company’s new 500 cult model, a model that promises some interesting upgrades from a stylistic point of view as well as technological.
Thus, we’re up for something that will make the 2014 Fiat 500 a special ride from the brand as it will be the company’s first vehicle that comes with a new gadget. We’re talking about an innovative new seven-inch TFT digital instrument display that was developed in collaboration with Magnetti Marelli.

According to Fiat, this particular gadget brings together all the info necessary for controlling the vehicle as well as its functions without messing with the retro design of the cabin. This TFT screen contains a digital image of the car and can show various trip computer readouts such as instant fuel consumption, range and even the distance travelled by the driver.

Concerning the vehicles design direction we’ll be seeing some exterior changes such as 16-inch alloy wheels that come in a new design, chrome or gloss black door mirror covers, a gloss black roof panel, chrome exterior detailing and a gloss black surround for the tail light clusters and rear parking sensors. When it comes to the cabin, the Fiat 500 Cult sports new leather seats that come as standard, having the chance to choose between black leather with ivory or red inserts, tobacco with ivory inserts or red leather with ivory inserts.

Of course we haven’t forgot about the engine, the vehicle being equipped with the company’s new TwinAir. The new 105hp 0.9 TwinAir Turbo is the newest member of award-winning TwinAir engine family, employing a turbocharger,  an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head, a Start&Stop fuel-saving system and the new MultiAir II intake valve control system.

UK drivers that find Fiat’s new range-topping FIAT 500 Cult model to their liking ought to know that the vehicle will come to be available on the market by the end of April.
