Fiat and Chrysler’s combined sales should reach six million units this year, according to the CEO of both manufacturers, Sergio Marchionne. He says that Chrysler Group’s recent growth spurt will translate into 4.2 million cars delivered this year.
The less impressive European sales are being balanced out by strong demand for Chrysler Group vehicles in the US and even Brazil. According to Automotive News, Marchionne is cautious about Europe next year, but expects the US to be very impressive.

"We're bound to see the elimination of marginal players going forward, I believe we'll end up with just five to six players whose success will be based on sharing architecture, at a global level," he said. "Italy has a once in a lifetime opportunity to embrace change. I think Italy is on the mend.”

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
