We could go on all day about how the Fiat 500 isn't a very useful car, that it's very expensive and all, but the fact of the matter is that they make an awesome product. You just get in and instantly feel like a million Italian lira.
The latest model from Fiat is all about being more practical though, but still has that burn the bras, drink at Starbucks and save the baby penguins attitude. Yes, it's the Fiat 500L, with five seats and imported straight from Europe.

The first ever commercial for the US-spec 500L imagines what America might have been if the Italians had invaded instead of the British. Just say "the Italians are coming" and everybody loses their minds. Dresses instantly become shorter, tea is replaced by espressos and… well you'll get the idea by watching the video below.

Leave it to the Italians to show sexy girls in a commercial about a family car. Will mom mind that dad is smirking at these sexy outfits? Yes, but we're not going to complain when the dresses become shorter.

500L - the L stands for 'Large' - is the new addition to the 500 range in America, following the Abarth and Cabrio versions. Available in four trim levels, the Fiat 500L starts at $19,100, not including the $800 destination fee.

The base 500L Pop gets a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Besides that, you also receive a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.

If you have a lot of cash to spend, you can also order the range-topping Lounge trim that comes with an Euro Twin Clutch six-speed transmission. For $24,195 plus destination, you receive chrome mirror caps, door handles and colored molding inserts.

If you fancy a bit of soft-roading, go for the 500L Trekking, equipped with $21,695 worth of toughness.
