FIA Announces Entry List for P-WRC, J-WRC and S2000 Cup

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) today unveiled the entries for three of the World Rally Championship's support series throughout the 2010 season. Having already announced the manufacturers' entry list of the WRC for the upcoming campaign, the ruling body gave us a glimpse of how the field will look like in the P-WRC, J-WRC and the WRC Cup for S2000 Teams.

In the Production Car World Rally Championship, there will be a total of 11 entries for the 2010 season, but only 5 of them will compete for a minimum of 6 rounds (from an overall 8, scheduled for the entire season) next season.

Toshi Arai (Subaru Team Arai), Gabor Mayer (Gaboko Hungary ASE), Armindo Araujo (reigning champion, driving for both the Ralliart Italy and Czech National Team), Gianluca Linari and Fabio Frisiero (Hawk Racing Club) are the main entries, alongside the 5 Pirelli Star Driver graduates Nicholai Georgiou, Peter Horsey, Hayden Paddon, Alex Raschi and Ott Tanak.

In the Junior World Rally Championship, the field will not give too many headaches to the organizers of the 6 events on schedule, as only 4 entrants are currently listed as competitors in the 2010 series. Egoi Eder Valdes Lopez, Loic Mattei, Todor Slavov and Team Sab Motorsport are the 4 entries, while Loic Mattei and Todor Slavov are the only 2 confirmed drivers in the series so far.

Finally, the WRC Cup for S2000 Teams has, until now, 6 entries. Barwa World Rally Team, Dynamic World Rally Team, Skoda – Rene Georges Rally Sport, Janpro, Czech Ford National Team and Red Bull Rally Team are the teams battling for the inaugural trophy in that competition.

Just like in the case of the WRC manufacturers' list, the entry list for the 2010 campaign will be closed on April 9, 2010, so further additions are expected to be announced in the near future.
