Ferrari Team Up with Kaspersky in Formula 1

While some of the Ferrari employees are keeping a close eye on the championship fight this season – after all, Fernando Alonso is on the verge of securing his 3rd crown in the series – others are looking towards the future. Translated into regular English, securing sponsors for the future operations of the Scuderia.

That being said, the Italian team today confirmed a new sponsorship deal with Russian computer security company Kaspersky Lab (yeah, the Russians seem to take over the world of Formula One lately, especially since the announcement comes in the same day Marussia Motors confirmed they acquired the majority stake in Virgin Racing).

According to the press release, the new deal between Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro and Kaspersky Lab was signed for a period of two years. However, the logos of the Russian company will be visible on the Ferrari F10 from as early as this weekend, in Abu Dhabi. The only place on the car where the company logo will be present will be the nose.

Kaspersky Lab is a world leader in the IT data protection field and already this year, it joined the ranks of our partners, as an Official Supplier,” said the Scuderia’s Team Principal, Stefano Domenicali.

We are pleased that they have decided to become even more involved with us. We share similar values with Kaspersky Lab in the field of technical research, striving to be innovative with a strong desire to succeed in our respective areas of activity,” added the Italian boss.
