Felipe Massa, who went through a similar near-death experience back in 2009 when he almost lost vision due to an on-track incident in the Hungarian Grand Prix qualy, also sent his best to Kubica, while also giving him a piece of advice on how to overcome the situation easier.
“All my thoughts are with Robert at such a difficult time. I have first hand experience of this type of situation and I learned how important it is to feel so much support from family and friends,” said Massa. “I hope that I too can send some positive energy his way and I am praying that all goes well and he gets back to normal. Ferrari's team principal Stefano Domenicali also joined his drivers in wishing the Renault driver a quick return to the F1 paddock and grid.
“Robert and those dear to him are in our thoughts at this difficult time. He is very tough and has a very strong constitution: we are sure he will get out of this and we can’t wait to see him back on track, with his sense of irony and his smile.
