Would you like to use a giant crankshaft as a bridge over the city river? Well, since you’re reading this on autoevolution, chances are that you’ll write a big fat “Yes”. However such a project is a complex development, so it would be more feasible to see how a similar action would make you feel using a scale representation. And guess what? Someone has actually done this!

We are talking about Ferrari, which is supporting the Royal Institute of British Architects' vision for the “Cities of Tomorrow” with an innovative display in its flagship store located on London’s Regent Street.

As you can see in the image gallery bellow, the initiative shows how the shape of a city could be changed by including automotive-related designs.

The window designs were created by Duggan Morris Architects and show their vision for how Cities of Tomorrow can take inspiration from one of the most iconic automotive brands to create innovative urban environments of the future. The displays utilize Ferrari memorabilias, original, unique and certified components from past and present of F1 and GT cars, which can be purchased from the Ferrari Store,” a company statement reads.

The pieces of art you see here were created by Duggan Morris Architects, with the process offering a high level of satisfaction through sheer originality and passion.

The concept of the Cities of Tomorrow display at the Ferrari Store shows future cities as an eclectic mix of creative engineering, architectural innovation and renovation through imaginative reuse and reinvention, where intelligent building systems can be employed to facilitate movement, passive environments and well-being,” states the press release.
