Here’s you’re first chance to check out the body kit from Lorinser for the Mercedes SL500, the brand new 2013 model. This custom body kit made its debut at the Essen Motor Show and we have to say we’re impressed with some of the details.
The body kit includes wider bumpers, a trunk spoiler, side skirts, diffuser tail and of course sports exhaust. The build quality and the panel gaps seem to match Mercedes’ own, so it’s worth looking into. Also in the cosmetics department, we’d mention the 20-inch RSK8 alloys wrapped in 55/30 R20 front and 295/25 R20 rear tires.
Lorinser have also targeted the engine, giving the SL500’s 4.7-liter V8 extra boost and a sports exhaust. The result is 530 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, basically the same as the SL63 AMG.
