Along with the facelifted versions of the BMW F10 5 Series, we also got a new engine. The new 518d BMW is now the entry level diesel model and has an accordingly set price.
Starting at £29,830 ($45,000 or €34,800), the new 143 HP powered car comes with a 119 g/km CO2 emissions level and a fuel consumption of just 57.2 mpg (4.1 l/100km) for the Sedan. The Touring will do 49 mpg (4.7 l/100km) on a highway cycle.
Standard equipment will include Business Navigation, Xenon headlights, BMW Emergency Call and Teleservices in addition to what was complimentary on the 5er up until now. Furthermore, the new models will also benefit from the new-style tail lights with slender, elegant LED light strips and along with an additional crease in the rear apron.
Since we're talking about the UK market, you'll also be happy to know that all LCI 5 Series models are now complying with the EU6 standards. That means that the UK BIK taxation rate will be only 18%.
