It seems that everybody wants a piece of the action when it comes to one of BMW’s hottest M products ever, the 1M. We’ve seen all kinds of custom mods, ranging from the light all they way to the extreme, and now its time for Stuttgart-based exhaust specialist Eisenmann to show what it’s got. The company has announced a complete replacement of the BMW baby-M's system, changing of a middle silencer and rear muffler.
We wouldn’t have bothered bringing you this package and the interesting little video that goes with it were it not for a little extra power being available. More specifically, the new system adds 10 extra ponies for those lucky few who one such a car. Eisenmann's system is built from stainless steel, and fits onto all the manufacturer's brackets, while retaining the four-pipe configuration.
The upgraded ststem for the 1-Series M Coupe will be show at this year's Frankfurt Auto Show.However, the complete system is "immediately available".The conversion gets the EC stamp of approval, and the middle section will set you backt €535.50, while the the rear muffler costs €1309.
We’ll remind you that the new exhaust will get “bolted” onto a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo and direct injection that is capable of providing a maximum output 340 horsepower. No new acceleration figures were provided by Eisenmann, but the stock car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and reaches the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark after 17.3 seconds.
