While we’re waiting for the 2015 Corvette Z06 to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next week, the folks over at Stellar Autoplex have listed a rare gem of the Corvette kind on eBay.
We’re talking about a 1995 Corvette ZR1 that’s one of the only 25 such sportscars offered in a Purple exterior paint. The vehicle has only only 16,451 miles on the odometer and it looks like it’s in excellent shape, just about ready to put those 405 horsepower to the ground.
As a reminder, the fourth-generation Corvette ZR1 was powered by a 5.7-liter aluminum V8 engine that was designed with help from Group Lotus, which was under GM ownership at the time. When launched in 1990, the C4 ZR1 set seven new international speed records, including the world record for 24 Hours Endurance at 175.8 mph (283 km/h).
Getting back to the vehicle in question, the purple ZR1 has a “Buy It Now” price of $42,995, while the bid is at $27,100 with seven hours to go at the time of writing. You can check out the auction here.
