By far one of the most extreme production superbikes, the Ducati 1199 Superleggera, is only available in a limited, 500-unit run.
While Ducati says that almost all the bikes are already sold, seeing Borgo Panigale officials advertising it may give us some ideas. Namely, that Ducati could be thinking of delivering a 1199 Superleggera on a wider scale, say building some extra bikes, slightly different than the initial 500.
That is, because it's rather seldom when a manufacturer is advertising a bike simply for bragging on it. And since the 1199 Superleggera was solely an invite-only business, we'll definitely not get to see these machines rolling down the street any time soon.
This could bring very good money into the bucket, as the Superleggera is anything but a cheap bike, and despite its big price, it seems to offer performance to match. There surely are a lot of people who sighed when they learned about the ultra-exclusive availability and would kill to get an 1199 Superleggera. Any ideas, Ducati?
