Ducati Corse has launched their 2014 World Superbike team in an event broadcast online, the first such feat from the house of Bologna. Now, Ducati has also surfaced a nifty teaser showing the bikes and the two riders which will try to bring back glory in Borgo Panigale.
After BMW Motorrad decided to cease WSBK operations after the end of the 2013 season, British rider Chaz Davies (5th the last year) inked a deal with Ducati for a run on the 1199 Panigale.
His team mate will be Italian Davide Giugliano, fresh from a 6th place positioning with Aprilia in 2013.
Ducati was 6th in the Manufacturers rankings in 2013, with only 185 points, a solid gap from the 550 points leader Aprilia had, or the 501 Kawasaki brought home.
Given the consistent results Davies had though 2013, we can expect that he will help Ducati climb towards the podium in 2014.
