Drunk Russian Tries to Get Off Flying Air Bus

Before telling you about this little gimmick a Russian construction worker pulled this week, we have to warn that we are not completely sure the airplane involved in this story was an Airbus. Then again, air bus fits perfectly the following story.

Why? Because a drunk Russian citizen was so drunk, that he mistaken the airplane in which he was traveling with a bus. That wouldn't have made any difference whatsoever, hadn't the unidentified passenger tried to open the airplane's cabin door, saying he wants to get off the bus.

At that time, the airplane was cruising at 10,000 meters (32,000 feet) between Simferopol for and Yekaterinburg. The 38-year-old man had to be restrained by the flight attendants, although it was not likely he would have been capable of opening the airplane door.

Once on the ground, the man who had been drinking pretty much throughout the flight, threw an empty bottle at a flight attendant, sending him into hospital with a concussion and a fractured arm.

The man was taken into custody by police and is likely to face hooliganism with an intention to inflict bodily harm charges for the bottle he threw. According to The Moscow Times, this might get him some three years behind bars.

What's strange is that apparently nobody is considering this as a terrorist act. We know that in the US it would have been considered as such. For the Russians though, that's not the case. Authorities are currently considering whether to give the man some type of penalty for attempting to jump from the plane.

Anybody wondered what an open door of an airplane cruising at 10,000 meters can do to the passengers who are still on the “bus”?
