A Canadian driving school owner finally traded in his nearly 1 million kilometers Toyota Corolla for a new one.
Mr. Rajah Sellathurai moved from India to Canada about 30 years ago and a friend of him suggested him to get a Toyota due to their affordability and reliability. He listened to the advice and got a Toyota Tercel on which he put about 540,000 km.

He remained loyal to the brand, and after owning five more Corollas that he drove for around 3 million kilometers, he ended up with a sixth green one from 2001.

Rajah explained that he never intended to keep the last one for one million kilometers as he was planning to switch it for another one as soon as it hit 500,000 km. But even after the milestone he just kept telling himself he’d kept it for another hundred thousand as it never had any issues with it.

He kept on going until the odometer reached around 998,000 km after which he decided to get a 2013 model year one recently, expecting to get another million with it too. The old one remained in the dealership, where he can still visit it each time he brings the new one for servicing.
