The death of a close friend is undoubtedly a very difficult moment for all those who care. However, it does not excuse or explain why other people have to suffer further - if, let’s say, a few ‘mourning’ drivers would gather under a highway overpass and start doing donuts and stopping traffic.
We say that it’s not OK, especially since people drive their cars rather quickly on the highway and it only takes one driver to brake too late and you have a massive pile-up where chances are, even more people will be killed. If the ‘event’ would have taken place in an empty parking lot where everybody would have been safe, we would have said ‘sure, let them blow off the steam’, but it is simply unacceptable to perform such maneuvers on an open highway.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt, but this one could have ended very badly for all those involved!
