Drifting BMW 118d Shows Us what a Random Bimmer Can Do

Amongst the things BMW is famous for you won’t find diesel engines or random hatchbacks. No, you’ll find drifting. That’s been part of the BMW DNA ever since it was invented and it will remain so, as long as RWD Bimmers are still being built.
The best thing about drifting BMWs is that you don’t need to invest a lot of money in them to have fun. Take the following clip for example: it’s showing us a BMW 118d model doing decent drifts in a roundabout.

Whilst we do not condone such behavior on public roads, we can’t overlook the fact that the whole process looks like a really simple thing to do.

And it is, with the traction control switched off. Even the tiny 2-liter diesel engine on the E82 118d model shown in the video is enough, with its 122 HP (or 143 HP, depending on the MY) and 280 Nm (210 lb-ft) of torque.
