Well, you’re right. If Russians use vodka to go through rough winters, Canadians seem to use drifting as a way of warming up the atmosphere. And since nobody likes the ice, snow and salt on the roads, a frozen lake looks like a more than decent alternative.
It goes without saying that you must have a proper vehicle to let that back end waltz on the ice. Of course it all looks pretty thanks to that beautiful winter scenery doubled by the incisive engine sounds but as Alex himself puts it, “by being a racing driver, you are under risk all the time. By being a racing driver you are racing with other people, and if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you’re no longer a racing driver.”
