Engine swaps literally come in all shapes and sizes and yet it’s not often that we get to see the heart of the GT-R being transplanted. Well, this is exactly what we want to show you today, as we’re talking about a Silvia S15 with R35 GT-R power.
Yes, you guessed that right, this is a drift car, which means that VR38DETT is being put to good use. In fact, the well-gifted Silvia was caught on camera while it was out playing back in December at the Oundle Classic Sprint 2014 and you can see it all in the clip below.

We’re pretty sure most of the 5,800 people living in Oundle, Northamptonshire heard the twin-turbo V6 spitting flames, as the narrow streets of the British town saw the driver red-lining the beast in first gear.

Sure, these moves don’t exactly qualify as drifting, but it’s not easy to imagine that, given some proper space, this Silvia can generate massive slip angles, aside from the clouds of smoke it has already created.

The UK has a fetish for the GT-R

It’s interesting to see how much of a thing the Brits have for the GT-R. Come to think about it, this engine swap reminds us of the Juke-R, the insane Godzilla-powered Juke created by Nissan’s UK arm, which more or less upset the Nissan mothership in Japan. Sure, that build was far from being limited to powertrain work, as the entire car was closely related to Frankenstein once the build was complete. For one thing, the car had a carbon fiber body.

And since we're talking countries, we have to remind you the Russians subsequently built their own Juke-R. However, since they weren't exactly thrilled with the 500 hp of the original, the Russian Juke-R packs about 800 horses.

Could this British GT-R fascination be owed to the weather?
