Dreaming of a White Beetle

Just how good are the Volkswagen Beetle convertible sales in America? Is that small car doing so well, in the land of big cars and V8s? Or the American teenagers are just going crazy about the New Beetle convertible, that they simply must have one? Be that as it may, the American branch of the German car manufacturer, Volkswagen, is planning to release a special edition of the Beetle, dubbed Triple White New Beetle.

There will be only 3,000 units manufactured, a lot more than Volkswagen's previous special edition release in America, the Fahrenheit, which is going to be manufactured in only 1,200 units. The Triple White New Beetle special editions will not change the car's performance in any way, but the overall look of the car. It will have a Campanella white exterior, a white interior and a white convertible roof boot. This shade of white is the same as on the original Super Beetle convertible released in the 1970s.

But don't get the wrong idea, because this special edition includes some more features. An important one is the 17 inch wheels named Oktopus, next comes the three-spoke leather steering wheel, and the white leather seats topped by the centre armrest, also in white, also in leather. As you probably thought by now, not everything inside is white, as the carpeting and the floor mats are black, for a smooth contrast. The New Beetle convertible icon is ingrained into the headrests and the audio system features Sirius Satellite Radio.

You could get all this, and the standard automatic transmission for USD 25,990.
