"Why in the world would you marry a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat to a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, even as a rendering?" I hear you asking. First of all, this sort of pixel play can lead to some serious giggles, at least from where I'm standing. Secondly, there might be a method to the madness, so let's zoom in on this part of the story.
The Mopar machine and the Zuffenhausen athlete could hardly be more different and I'm not just talking about styling here, since their ways of delivering velocity thrills are a world apart.

Nevertheless, the track special incarnation of the previous-generation Neunellfer and the factory-blown muscle car do have certain things in common.

So while the 911 lineup is famous for the endless possibilities it offers (when the range reaches full maturity, buyers get to select from over twenty derivatives), Dodge's Challenger (and Charger) model list also scores extremely well in the diversity chapter.

Think about it: you can grab the big coupe with a V6, which is offered in RWD and AWD trims, while there are two naturally aspirated HEMIs and a supercharged V8 of the sort to choose from. And that's without mentioning the now-retired 800-plus horsepower Demon, or the four-figure Hellephant crate engine, a 7-liter monster that sometimes happens to land inside the engine compartment of a Demon.

Besides, with the rumors about the U.S. automaker preparing an ACR (American Club Racer) track incarnation of the Challenger still around, this rendering at least sings to the tune of forum gossip. On a more serious note, we must thank Facebook label Unnecessary automobile nose swaps. for this visual stunt.

However, the Porscha might be the dominant figure in this pixel portrait. After all, the contraption sitting before us is finished in Porsche's Ultraviolet shade rather than featuring Dodge's Plum Crazy. I'm not complaining, though.
