Diouf Shows Off in a Chrome SLR McLaren

El Hadji Diouf found the best way to make his appearance on the streets of Manchester, as he chose to parade his stunning chrome Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren around the Living Room bar, one of the places where celebrities use to hang out.

The car was so shiny, that if Diouf had any hair on his head, he could have easily arrange it in the reflective paintwork.

For those who don’t know who are we talking about here, find out that El Hadji Diouf is not a hip-hop star as it might seem, but a Senegalese fotballer, currently playing for Blackburn Rovers, but having previously played for Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers and Ligue 1 club Lens.

The car is believed to have cost the 28-year-old striker about £420,000, dailymail.co.uk reported, which is a lot more than Arsenal defender William Gallas paid for the same-style car. Another footballer that had a taste of cruising in such a vehicle is Claude Makelele, a former team mate of Gallas at Chelsea.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren features a hand-built 5.4-litre, supercharged, all-aluminium, SOHC V8 engine, which generates a maximum power of 650 bhp, reaching a proven top speed of 207mph. Larger brake pads were added as well to match the car's acceleration time of just 3.6 secs from 0 to 62 mph.

The SLR features active aerodynamics. There is a spoiler mounted on the rear integral air brake flap, that increases downforce depending on its angle of elevation. At speeds above 59 mph the spoiler automatically raises by 10 degrees. When activated via the driver's switch, the elevation can be increased to 35 degrees.

However, this is not the only car residing in Diouf’s garage. The footballer’s other rides include a customized white Range Rover, a Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade.
