William Gallas Misses Match, Drives a Chrome Mercedes

You know what it says for some celebs: if you can not be in the center of media attention thanks to your skills, at least buy a car that will help you make headlines!

We're not sure if this is the case of Arsenal defender William Gallas but his chrome Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren can not pass unnoticed. According to Daily Mail, the footballer didn't play in the Saturday match against Blackburn, yet, he found a way to attract media attention by leaving the Arsenal's Emirates stadium in North London in his £350,000 chrome Mercedes.

Although the color of the vehicle is rather odd, the Mercedes owned by the 31-year-old football player is believed to be the fastest convertible in the world as it reaches 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of  207 mph.

However, this is not the only exquisite car that Gallas has in his garage. A sportsman like him certainly affords the luxury to add a Mercedes ML63 AMG 4x4 to his collection. In case you wondered how much his garage values right now, the answer is about £500,000. Oh yes, Gallas knows how to pamper himself when it comes to cars. And if it wasn't obvious already, his favorite car brand is Mercedes.

William Gallas is a graduate of the French Football academy at Clairefontaine. He started his professional career at second division SM Caen helping them to promotion as champions in 1996. He currently plays for Arsenal in the English Premier League where he had a controversial evolution. Arsenal's Number 10 was the captain of the team for the 2007-2008 season and part of the 2008-2009 season but in November last year he had been stripped of the captaincy permanently. Still, the footballer is believed to still have a future with the club.
