While you wouldn`t normally associate the name David Coulthard with NASCAR, the Scotsman, famous for his impressive career in Formula 1, was recently seen behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry NASCAR racer, during the ‘Red Bull Day’, held at the 2012 Bologna Motor Show.
Despite the adverse weather condition, he does a few clean runs in the car, then does a few donuts, and even tries drifting it a few times, despite the fact that the car looks quite cumbersome when going around corners - typical, for a car designed to go straight, then left, then straight again. A great spectacle, nevertheless!
Still, it makes a great V8 noise that you just don`t hear anywhere these days, no matter what type of racing we’re talking about, and the idea of NASCAR still sparks up the spirits of many motorsport fans, even in Europe. The highlight of the whole video is the tandem donuts, which David does alongside biker Chris Pfeiffer, riding a BMW 800R motorbike.
