Norton announces the two riders which will race in the isle of Man TT 2013: Dan Hegarty and Ian Mackman. The TT 2013 practice and races are to be held on the Mountain Course circuit between June 1st and 7th next year.
Dan Hegarty is 25 and he has already shown a huge potential after his TT debut back in 2010 and last year's fastest lap. In 2011 it took Hegarty 18m35.80s to run an entire Mountain Course lap with a speed of 121.731 mph (195.86 kmp), and has also finished 20th in the Monster Energy Supersport1 Race last year.

Ian Mackman is no stranger to the TT, either: he won the 2011 Privateer race, ran the fastest practice lap with more than 124 mph (199.51 km/h) and was the first rider in 20 years to qualify a factory Norton bike for a TT race.

It looks like the future's bright: Norton is entering a new stage in their history, as more resources are being channeled into developing new road racing machines, new markets have become available (with the US soon to receive the first Commando bikes) and customers seemingly favoring the retro bikes again. So we'd better keep a close eye on the old British manufacturer, as nice surprises may come their way.
