Dacia Duster SUV Official Video

Renault's Romanian brand Dacia revealed a few days ago the Duster, the company's first SUV that is scheduled to enter production in spring 2010. And here is the first video showing the car in all its glory, although the quality, and we're not referring to colors or resolution, might disappoint you. The clip is nothing else than a static footage of the Duster, specifically designed to emphasize the main design attributes of the car.

Because we're sure some of you might press the fast forward button of the video player or stop it before reaching the end, we also added the official photo gallery revealed by Dacia a few days ago.

The SUV will go on sale, as we said, in 2010, and will be offered in either 4x4 or 4x2 versions. There will be three engines available across the range, two diesels and one petrol. The gasoline configuration is a 1.6l 16V unit, developing 110 hp, while the diesel ones come with the promise of 85 or 105 hp.

Dacia will offer several safety features on its first SUV, including Bosch 8.1 ABS, EBV electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency brake assist, two front airbags and three-point seat belts with load limiters for the front seats. Additionally, depending on the trim level you choose, the Duster can be equipped with two lateral head/thorax airbags as well.

Production will be handled by Dacia's only plant in Pitesti, Romania but the car is going to be sold in several regions of the world, including European countries, the Middle East and Africa.
