The €5000 Dacia model has been on the table since the brand was reborn under the Renault Group guidance. In fact, the Logan sedan was supposed to cost that much from the very beginning, but they never managed it.
But it looks like Dacia will have another go at making the €5,000 car, as German publication AutoBild reports the model could hit the European model soon as an entry-level car.
Dacia has already confirmed a new Sandero, which is Renault Clio-sized, but the entry-level Citadine will be Twingo-sized. Even the name suggest this is going to be a city car. We’re not really sure how this ties in, but the next Twingo is reportedly being developed together with the next smart fortwo.
The Citadine will be powered by a 0.9-liter three-cylinder engine with three output levels - 60 hp, 75 hp and 95 hp.
