It seems like Rolls-Royce is considering to move into the SUV market in the future, according to a report by Auto News Europe. Following the announcement that Bentley will release such a car, Rolls-Royce will soon follow.
The question is, what platform will they use? As we all know, for quite a while now, Rolls-Royce was owned by BMW and, therefore, the best option for them would be to use one of their SUV platforms.

The F15 seems like the best choice at the moment. It's new, lighter than the previous, E70 model and will keep on going at least until 2020, giving the British company enough time to develop the SUV, so that it meets the most exquisite tastes in the business.

"We are intensively thinking about entering the SUV segment. The SUV segment is very interesting. It has been incredibly stable during the crisis, and I think a luxury niche will develop," Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes said in an interview at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

If this becomes reality, the Bentley EXP 9 F Concept will be faced with proper competition in the future and we might even see a brand new niche surface.
