Though some may think it isn’t exactly just what the world needed right now, a new supercar has surfaced, reinventing the looks of American and European sports cars built in the sixties and early seventies. Dubbed Endora SC-1, the project belongs to a German company that used the Chevrolet Corvette C6 as an inspiration.

Styling highlights include high-intensity-discharge headlamps and LED-fog lights in the front, a long hood, two LED taillights in the rear, and a black painted diffuser that contains the back-up- and fog-lamps.

The coupe will come equipped with a 6.2 liter Aluminum V8 engine producing 437 hp and 424 lb-ft (574 Nm)of torque. However, a more powerful variant will also be available, with another eight cylinder under the hood but developing 512 hp and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque out of its 7.0 liters.

Finally, the top-of-the-line model will feature a supercharged version of the 6.2 liter V8, that will deliver 647 hp and 604 lb-ft (818 Nm) of torque to the rear axle. All engines come mated to a six-speed-manual gearbox as standard, while an automatic transmission with six gears and paddleshift is optional for the smallest V8.

The suspension of the SC-1 consists of cast aluminum upper and lower control arms, transverse-mounted composite leaf springs and monotube shock absorbers on all four ends. An electronic traction control is fitted as standard, as is the Active Handling-system that monitors the driving dynamics.

Providing the physical and visual connection to the road are 19 inch alloy wheels in the front and 20 inch rims in the back, in standard form, with 20 and 21 inch rims available as an option.

The first renderings of the new German supercar have been released, with further details (such as pricing and availability) to follow in the coming months.
