Conquistador Singapore GP Watch by Franck Muller

Franck Muller manages to catch any consumer’s eye with its latest timepiece, the Conquistador Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph. Inspired from the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, the watch is limited to only 160 pieces worldwide, combining a new case and dial designs, as well as material experimentation.

It is a new interpretation of Franck Muller’s iconic Cintrée Curvex case shape that sports a more rugged masculine profile, a trait enhanced by the use a multi-layered dial for the first time, Luxist reported.

The case of the Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph is fortified by the use of an ultra-light and highly robust high-tech alloy called ergal. A material commonly used in the F1 and aerospace industries, ergal boasts a high strength-to-weight ratio.

The timepieces are powered by the FM7000 movement, which features a proprietary date-corrector push piece that allows users to set the date forward and back with ease. The movement is diamond polished and finished with Côtes de Genève decoration.

“We’re very proud of this significant collaboration with the Singapore Grand Prix. The limited edition series not only expresses the passion, thrills and sophistication associated with the world’s only F1 night race.  It also extols Franck Muller’s prowess in statement making designs and high-tech mechanical engineering,”
said Kevin Chau, chairman of Sincere Brand Management Limited, exclusive distributor of Franck Muller in north and South Asia.

The Conquistador Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph is available in just 80 pieces in titanium and ergal, and 80 pieces in rose gold with titanium.
