Coach-Built One-Off Mercedes-Benz S-Class-Based Monomach by Cardi

While we fully support the idea of coach-building the bodywork of one’s car, we don’t really approve of copying something larger and more expensive and trying to reproduce it. This proves that the initiator of the idea lacked car culture and simply directed his or her attention to the biggest and most expensive thing out there - in this case, the Maybach.
Russian tuner Cardi has taken a standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class and has grafted a Maybach-esque look onto its front end, while giving the rear a totally different look to anything we’ve seen - looks a bit like an 1980s Lancia, and that’s not a bad look. It is therefor surprising that the owner opted to have a Maybach front end when the rear doesn’t match - it’s all wrong.

If you want this strange creation, its owner is apparently selling it for €111,111. Would you pay that much for what is basically a more-than-ten year-old car with a kitsch front end and non-matching rear end? We wouldn’t.
