Citroen DS5 Secrets to Be Revealed on Facebook

We don’t know if you’ve noticed this but, Citroen is really big on social media and promoting its new cars online. The DS4 got a six-episode series on Youtube, in which designers describe how the idea for the car was born, revealing design a manufacturing secrets in the process. Now, it looks like the French carmaker has even more secrets to share as the DS5 that got its unveiling in Shanghai.

However, Citroen has realized there’s more fans to be had on Facebook, so it’s switching to the social media site for the distinctively-styled MPV. Fans of the brand will reportedly be able to ask any question they, with the senior design team to answer the in a unique, live video web-chat.

“We’re really proud of the DS range having already hit the 100,000 sales mark for DS3 since launch and we’re really excited about both DS4 and DS5. The chance to speak first-hand with the design team behind the range is a fantastic opportunity for the public and hopefully they’ll see how passionate our designers are about the vehicles we produce,”
said Linda Jackson, Managing Director at Citroën UK.

Top managers and designers that contributed to the DS5 project will include:
  • Pierre Monferrini, Citroen DS5 Project Manager,
  • Andy Cowell, Citroen Design Manager,
  • and Frederic Soubirou, Designer of the Citroen DS5.

By making use of the ‘DS5 Live Chat’ tab on the Citroen UK Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Citroen), visitors will be able to post questions either before or during the live web-chat and the panel will answer as many as possible during the allotted hour.
