Citroen’s DS lineup could gain another member starting next year, with recent rumors indicating that an entry-level DS2 will be introduced at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Inspired by the Revolte concept, which was unwrapped all the way back in 2009 at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the new DS2 will reportedly be a five-door hatchback based on the new Peugeot 208. According to French website Auto Plus, the new Citroen DS2 will come with several customization options, as the Paris-headquartered company aims to attract Fiat 500 and MINI Cooper customers.
Although no details have been confirmed, word has it the DS2 will arrive with a choice four engines: a 90 HP three-cylinder, a 115 HP four-cylinder diesel and a 155 HP turbocharged four-potter.
Citroen’s current DS lineup includes three models: the DS3 supermini (also a convertible), the DS4 compact, and the DS5 executive.
