If new concept cars based on classics from your grandpa’s time get you all hot and bothered, we have a treat for your eyes only. This is just a render of what’s to come at the 82nd edition of the Geneva Motor Show in March. It’s called the Cisitalia 202 E and it’s supposed to be a modern day interpretation of the classic 1947 Cisitalia 202.
The concept was created by the Master of Arts in Transportation Design students of the European Institute of Design of Turin. The roof is more rakish and the headlighs are a bit too modern for a classic, but we do like the Alfa-ish looks.
The original car was designed by Battista "Pinin" Farina in 1947, and only 170 were built over a period of five years.
The modern day 202 E concept that will show up in Geneva will not be an electric vehicle (thank God) as the ‘E’ would have us believe. Instead it’s powered by a 450hp V8 enigne that’s supposedly mounted in the rear.
