The Chevrolet Sail was first shown in concept form at the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show. It featured a 87 hp electric motor, which allowed it to reach a top speed of 130 km/h (80 mph). It also had a 150 km (93-mile) range, drawing power from a lithium-ion battery pack of unspecified capacity.
Now, the production version of the car has received a name change, for the Chinese market, where it will be called the Springo. It will be powered by the same electric motor as the concept, and will have the exact same range and performance characteristics.
