While most purists claim a proper hot rod needs to sport the body of vehicle built in the 1930s or 1940s, we ain’t got nothing against projects that have post WWII cars as a base. Especially if those vehicles are 1950s pickup trucks.

If you’re looking to take a short trip down the memory lane, these trucks were built between 1955-1960 and sold with a choice of three engines: a 235 cubic inch inline-six, a 265 V8 and a 283 V8. Chevy offered three and four-speed manual transmissions and 6-foot to 8-foot beds for it.
