THe Chevrolet Aveo is a bit strange looking and it might not be Europe’s favorite hatch, but it does have some merits when it comes to safety. We already know it got the maximum of five Euro NCAP stars last year, but now, it’s also been named “best in class” by the safety body in the sepermini segment.
The car comes with six airbags as standard. It also features a child-seat latching system. The car's active safety systems include electronic stability control, traction control, a four-channel anti-lock braking system with brake assist, and electronic brake force distribution.

In Euro NCAP tests, the Aveo scored 95 points out of 100 in adult occupant protection and 87 for the way it takes care of child occupants in case of a crash.

“We take safety very seriously at Chevrolet and this class-leading result for the New Chevrolet Aveo proves this entirely,” said Mark Terry, Managing Director, Chevrolet UK. “Our whole model line-up provides impeccable safety credentials with the majority achieving a five star rating; it brings great peace of mind to our customers.”

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
